Eternal Dream
That green carpet that wraps the Earth,
Where naked mortals walked on,
A shorter life with every breath,
They didn’t talk, they watched the sun.
Sun that burns their skin with light,
For their sins they have to pay,
'Cause all their days they lived at night,
Forgiveness exists not for they.
They’d give it all for pain,
To unbreak their hearts,
For a drop of heaven’s rain,
And forever be apart.
Apart their leaves dried out,
Their dreams burned down, and left off wry.
The taste of sorrow dried up their mouths,
And they finally began to cry.
Cry the will of hope,
In the center of their souls,
But they refused to cope,
With the running of their blood.
Blood spilled upon their wrists,
But not cut deep inside,
‘Cause themselves they never pleased,
And left all joy outside.
Outside forever they may be,
'Cause no one felt their wrath,
Ashes left for none to see,
No human heart remembers that.
